The Cruachan is designed with a traditional Scottish Highland façade and whilst the hotel has been, and continues to be, sympathetically upgraded and modernised internally to provide all modern comforts, it has not lost its original character.
The hotel has an enviable location overlooking Loch Linnhe and beyond the loch to the Morvern Hills. Guests can sit on the terrace outside the hotel in the summer, watching the boats on the loch and enjoying a quiet drink.

The Cruachan Hotel is located immediately opposite Loch Linnhe on the A82, Glasgow to Inverness route, just 3 minutes south from the centre of Fort William. Ample guest car parking is available within the grounds, and just along the road at the West End roundabout, there is a large municipal car park.Approximate driving times are one and a half hours from Inverness and two and a half - three hours from Glasgow.The bus and coach station stands adjacent to the Fort William Railway Station - approximately 5 mins. by taxi to the Cruachan Hotel (roughly 1 mile if walking).
